What Are Cookies on Mac? Browser cookies, or web cookies, are small text files on your computer. The best web browser: Google Chrome. Chrome is ubiquitous — and for good reason. Open the Safari app on your Mac. If this is the first time you’ve opened Safari after using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, a message at the bottom of the Favourites or Top Sites page asks you if you want to keep imported items. Select an option.

If Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is your default browser, you can automatically import your bookmarks, history and passwords when you first start using Safari, or manually import them later.

You can also import bookmarks that were exported in HTML format from Safari, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, OmniWeb, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

• Imported bookmarks appear after your existing bookmarks.

• Imported history appears with your existing history.

• Imported passwords go into your iCloud Keychain, so you can autofill login information on websites.

Automatically import items from Chrome or Firefox

1. Open the Safari app on your Mac.

   If this is the first time you’ve opened Safari after using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, a message at the bottom of the Favourites or Top Sites page asks you if you want to keep imported items.

2. Select an option:

   • Keep your imported items: Safari keeps your imported bookmarks and history from Chrome, and imported bookmarks, history and passwords from Firefox.

   • Remove your imported items: Safari removes your imported items.

   • Decide later: Return to the Favourites or Top Sites page and import the items at another time. To see the Favourites or Top Sites page, choose Bookmarks > Show Favourites or Show Top Sites.

However, the colours are rendered without problems on Safari and Firefox. I'm on a Mac using Chrome 11, Safari 5 and Firefox 5. I'm sure there's a logical explanation. Update: I'm attaching a screenshot of Chrome next to Safari showing the very same page. I checked this image in Photoshop: the colours are #F00 in Chrome and #FF3A00. Manually import items from Chrome or Firefox

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose File > Import From > Google Chrome or File > Import From > Firefox. Reflector 2 gratis mac.

   You can do this any time after you start using Safari, even if you imported items already.

   You must have Chrome or Firefox installed on your Mac to import.

2. Select the items you want to import.

3. Click Import.

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose File > Import From > Bookmarks HTML File.

2. Select the file you want to import.

   After you import bookmarks, they appear at the bottom of the sidebar in a new folder whose name begins with “Imported” and ends with the date.

3. Click Import.

Export bookmarks

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose File > Export Bookmarks.

   The exported file is called “Safari Bookmarks.html”.

2. To use the exported bookmarks in another browser, import the file named “Safari Bookmarks.html”.
